Edit a picture or image post

Open the editor Open the picture from the post or media flow. Style your post shows the canvas and its editing controls.

Choose the format Use Post format to choose the shape required for the destination. Check the main subject after changing formats.

Select what to edit Tap the background photo or use Open layers to select text, artwork or another object. The controls below depend on the selected object.

Make the changes Adjust position, size, crop or text as appropriate. Use the layer controls when objects overlap. Inspect the whole image rather than only the selected detail.

Save and inspect Tap Save and check the saved confirmation. Reopen the saved edit when needed. A saved image is ready for use in a draft; it has not been posted to social media.
