Understand SMS length and cost

Watch the count while writing The SMS composer shows how the message is divided into billable parts. A long text can become more than one segment.

Check characters and links Some characters, including emoji, can change how much fits into one segment. Long links also take space. Keep the message useful and concise rather than adding decorative text.

Keep the opt-out information The required opt-out wording contributes to the final message. Do not remove it to shorten the text.

Review the actual total Check the segment information, eligible recipient count and final cost before confirming. Use the app's current amount rather than a fixed price copied from an old guide.
