Add text to a video

Add or select text In the video editor, choose the scene and use Add to insert text, or select an existing text layer.

Edit its appearance Enter the wording and adjust the available font, colour, size and position controls. Keep the text short and readable against the footage.

Check its timing Set when the text appears and how long it stays visible. Allow enough time to read it without covering the main subject.

Check the platform view Preview the whole reel and the intended platform framing. Keep important text clear of areas likely to be covered by platform controls. Save and export the revised copy.
