Trim a clip or shorten a scene

Select the right clip Open the video project and select its scene, then the video layer you want to trim.

Adjust the timing Use the clip's trim or timing controls to choose the useful beginning and ending. Scene timing and source-clip trimming are different: check both when shortening the reel.

Play the result Preview the scene and then the whole reel. Check that speech is not cut off and that the next scene arrives at the right moment.

Save and export again Save your edit. A previously exported copy does not change when you edit the project, so export a new finished copy when ready.
